New Home Sales Host/Hostess

The New Home Sales Host/Hostess is responsible to present Sales Centers/Available Homes to visitors in a professional and personalized manner. Responsibilities include:

  • Open & close models, ensuring that homes are looking their best during open house hours
  • Greet visitors, discern their objective, and provide appropriate information
  • Obtain lead generation information from each prospect

This is a part time weekend position in the Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg area. The successful candidate will be assertive, with a friendly personality and excellent communication skills.

Construction Estimating/Purchasing Agent

The Construction Estimating/Purchasing Agent is responsible to manage purchasing for each job from pre-construction through settlement, ensuring that purchase orders are complete, accurate, and issued on schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Issue purchase orders for all jobs including change orders and variances
  • Keep jobs within budget
  • Build and maintain good relationships with Suppliers, Trade Partners, & the Garman Construction team

Successful candidate will have strong attention to detail while multitasking and be committed to preemptively catching mistakes through proofing own work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Experience in a residential construction environment
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Basic understanding of construction process/terminology

The Carpenter provides each home with its distinctive “Garman Detail” through a wide range of construction/carpentry tasks including trimming, framing, and hardwood installation. Requirements include:

  • At least 2 years of jobsite experience in new home construction or renovations
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate new home permitting process
  • Must have a PA Driver’s license

Salesperson / Project Manager

This position assumes the responsibility of meeting with prospective customers, reviewing wants and needs with them and working closely with the design & estimating teams to create a product that meets the customer’s needs and hits a targeted budget.  It includes selling the job and creating contracts and all other necessary sale documents.

This position also assumes responsibility for ensuring quality of production while remaining on or ahead of schedule, negotiating and approving contracts for subcontractors and suppliers at or under budget, being the “point person” for customers during the construction process, and attending to the details of paperwork and job folders to ensure an accurate and timely completion.
